Community Women’s Football is Coming to Olympic

Adelaide Olympic Football Club is excited to announce a new chapter in the club’s history with the launch of our first-ever Community Women’s Team.

This is more than the introduction of another team. It is the beginning of something we hope will grow into a strong, connected and lasting part of the Adelaide Olympic community.

For women who have always loved football, those who have stepped away from the game, and those who have never had the opportunity to play, this is your invitation to be part of it from the very beginning.

A place for every woman.

You don’t need to have played football your whole life. You don’t need to have a long list of experience. And you certainly don’t need to be the best player on the pitch. You just need to want to get involved.

Our Community Women’s Team will welcome women from all backgrounds and abilities, creating an environment where you can come along, play football, meet new people and enjoy being part of a team.

Whether you’re an experienced player looking for a new club, returning to football after a few years away, looking for a way to get active, or picking up a football for the first time, there is a place for you at Olympic.

Community football is about so much more than what happens for 90 minutes on the pitch.

It’s about the people you meet. The friendships you make. The laughs at training. The feeling of pulling on the same shirt as your teammates. The confidence that comes from trying something new. And being part of a club that feels like home. That’s what we want to create at Adelaide Olympic.

Our Community Women’s Team will be built around inclusion, connection, enjoyment and a shared love of the game. It will be a place where women can come together, feel welcome and be themselves.

And, because this is our first Community Women’s Team, those who join now will have the opportunity to help shape what it becomes. Be there from the beginning. There is something special about being part of the first. The first training session. The first game. The first team photo. The first goals, wins and celebrations. The friendships and memories that will come with them. Most importantly, you’ll be helping establish something that future generations of women at Adelaide Olympic can become part of.

We want our inaugural Community Women’s Team to be something our players are proud to wear the Olympic shirt for — and something that continues to grow year after year.
