Pavlos Vaggelis Award 2025

At Adelaide Olympic FC, certain people leave a mark that lasts long after they are gone. Pavlos Vaggelis was one of those people. We lost Pavlos far too soon in 2021, but his memory, spirit, and love for this club continue to inspire every corner of the Adelaide Olympic community. He was a man whose passion, loyalty, and unwavering positivity lifted everyone around him — from players and coaches to volunteers and supporters. Pavlos’ presence reminded us all what it truly means to be part of something bigger than ourselves: a family, a community, and a club built on heart, dedication, and camaraderie.

In honour of Pavlos, this award was created to recognise those who carry his same spirit forward; those who lead by example, give selflessly, and put the club and its community first. Each year, it serves as a reminder that Adelaide Olympic is more than just football; it’s about the people, values, and culture that Pavlos embodied every day.

This year, the Pavlos Vaggelis Award goes to Stavros. Stavros exemplifies everything this award stands for. His dedication, generosity, and genuine love for Adelaide Olympic have been felt by everyone in the club. Whether it’s supporting players, helping out behind the scenes, or simply lifting the spirits of everyone around him, Stavros has consistently gone above and beyond.

Stavros, your commitment to this club is a shining example of what it means to be part of the Adelaide Olympic family. You remind us that the true strength of a club isn’t just in its players or its trophies, but in the people who live its values every single day.

As we celebrate you receiving the Pavlos Vaggelis Award in 2025, we also honour Pavlos himself, whose spirit continues to guide us, inspire us, and unite us. This award is a testament to the best of Adelaide Olympic: passion, loyalty, heart, and community.

Congratulations, Stavros - this recognition is so very well deserved. We are proud to have you in our family.
