Volunteer Spotlight: Dejan Bjelic, Vice President at Adelaide Olympic Football Club

Dejan is the heart and hands behind much of what keeps Adelaide Olympic Football Club running smoothly. Serving as Vice President in 2026, Dejan has been involved with the club for many years, tirelessly working behind the scenes to manage maintenance, ground upkeep, and every task that ensures players, coaches, and members have the best possible environment to enjoy football.

When something goes wrong, or needs fixing; Dejan is the first person we call. His reliability is unmatched, and he approaches every challenge with a solution and can-do attitude. Beyond his incredible work ethic, Dejan’s quick wit and outgoing nature have made him a familiar and much-loved figure at Olympic, respected by players, volunteers, and supporters alike.

Dejan is deeply passionate about building our AOFC community, and his dedication extends beyond his own time. His son Viktor, also an AOFC player, often rolls up his sleeves to support his dad, creating a true family culture of giving and involvement.

Reflecting on his role, Dejan says:

“I love giving back to Olympic because it’s more than just football—it’s a community. Seeing players enjoy the game, grow, and feel supported makes every bit of work worth it.”

Dejan gives selflessly to the club, never asking for recognition or reward. His countless hours, energy, and ongoing commitment make him a cornerstone of AOFC, and his contributions touch every corner of the club, from the pitch to the sidelines to behind the scenes. Simply put, the club wouldn’t be the same without him.
