Lewis Cleland Named State League 1 Goalkeeper of the Year
Adelaide Olympic FC congratulates Lewis Cleland on receiving the Les Avory Trophy for Goalkeeper of the Year at the Football South Australia 2026 Celebration of Football.
Adelaide Olympic FC is proud to celebrate Lewis Cleland, who has been recognised as State League 1 Goalkeeper of the Year, receiving the prestigious Les Avory Trophy at the Football South Australia 2026 Celebration of Football.
Goalkeeping is a position that demands concentration, composure and resilience. As the last line of defence, a goalkeeper must be ready to respond in the moments that matter most, combining technical ability with the confidence to lead and communicate with those around them.
Recognition at this level is a significant achievement and an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of one of Adelaide Olympic's award winners. While the saves and decisive moments often attract attention, the role also demands consistency, preparation and commitment throughout a long season.
Individual awards are also a reflection of the wider team environment in which players train, compete and strive to improve together. At Adelaide Olympic, we take great pride in seeing our players recognised for their achievements and for representing our club in State League 1.
Congratulations, Lewis, on being named Goalkeeper of the Year and receiving the Les Avory Trophy. The Adelaide Olympic community is proud to celebrate this outstanding achievement.
