AOFC Reserves Grand Final. A season to be proud of!

What a season it has been for our Reserves.

After a fantastic State League 1 campaign, our Reserves finished the season as Premiers and Grand Finalists, capping off an outstanding year for a group that has given so much to Adelaide Olympic Football Club.

While the Grand Final ultimately went all the way to penalties and the trophy wasn’t ours to lift, that should not take anything away from what this team has achieved across the season. Their Premiership is a wonderful reward for the consistency, commitment and belief they have shown from the very first game.

Throughout the season, this group has continued to set high standards for itself. They have worked hard at training, challenged one another to improve and built a strong sense of belief in what they could achieve together. Week after week, they showed the determination and togetherness that is required to compete at the highest level of their competition.

To finish the season as State League 1 Premiers is a significant achievement, and one that every player involved should be incredibly proud of. It is the result of a season of hard work and a reflection of the commitment this group has shown to one another and to the club.

The Grand Final itself was another memorable chapter in an already successful season. After 120 minutes of football, the boys took the match all the way to a penalty shootout, showing the same resilience and determination that had been evident throughout their campaign. Regardless of the final result, reaching that stage was another achievement for a team that has consistently put itself in the position to compete for success.

More importantly, this season has been about much more than results. It has been about the people within the group, the friendships built, the challenges overcome and the pride that comes with representing Adelaide Olympic.

To every player who wore the blue and white this season, thank you for everything you have contributed. You have worked hard, played for each other and represented the club with enormous pride. Your Premiership is something that will always be part of your Adelaide Olympic story.

A huge thank you also goes to our coaches and staff for the time, effort and belief they have invested in this group throughout the season. Their work has helped create an environment where these players could grow, compete and succeed.

And to the families, friends and supporters who have been there throughout the year, thank you for getting behind the boys and sharing the journey with them. Premierships are special, but they are even more meaningful when they are celebrated by an entire football community.

This group has every reason to look back on 2026 with pride. They are State League 1 Premiers, Grand Finalists and a team that has represented Adelaide Olympic with everything they have.

So, boys, hold your heads high and celebrate what you have achieved. You have earned your place in the history of Adelaide Olympic, and we couldn’t be prouder.
