Celebrating an Outstanding Volunteer: Congratulations Tania McPherson

Adelaide Olympic Football Club is proud to celebrate one of our most dedicated and valued volunteers, Tania McPherson, who was yesterday named 2026 Volunteer of the Year at the Female Football Week Awards.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to the countless hours, unwavering commitment, and genuine passion that Tania brings to our club and the wider football community every single week.

Volunteers are the backbone of community sport, and Tania exemplifies everything that makes grassroots football so special. Whether she's helping behind the scenes, supporting players and families, assisting with club operations, or stepping up whenever needed, Tania consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our members have the best possible experience.

Her contribution extends far beyond the football pitch. Through her dedication, positivity, and willingness to help others, Tania has helped create a welcoming and inclusive environment that strengthens our club culture and supports the growth of the women's and girls' game.

The Female Football Week Awards recognise individuals who make a significant impact on football through their service, leadership, and commitment to the sport. To see Tania acknowledged at this level is not only a well-deserved honour for her personally, but also a proud moment for the entire Adelaide Olympic family.

On behalf of our players, coaches, volunteers, committee members, and families, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations and thanks to Tania for everything she does.

Your hard work, generosity, and passion do not go unnoticed, and this award is a fitting recognition of the incredible contribution you continue to make to our club and community.

Congratulations, Tania – we are incredibly proud of you and grateful to have you as part of the Adelaide Olympic Football Club family.
